It was just warm enough to wear this dress on Saturday before a thunder storm with torrential rain drove everyone indoors mid afternoon.
I bought it from a charity shop last autumn for about £2 in an end of summer clearance sale and it found its way to the back of my wardrobe and I forgot about it. It started life in Next.
I am in two minds about keeping it. I quite like the pattern but I am not convinced about the style looks on me. It is also shorter than I prefer.
My teenage daughter, Hannah, quite likes it so I may donate it to her. It will probably look better on a younger person!
Donating it to your daughter might be the right decision if you do not feel comfortable in it. I do love that pattern!

The polka dots are so pretty in various colors. At least you got such a bargain on it, if you decide it's not for you!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely dress, it's a shame you don't like it! I think it's definitely a fun style :)

It's great that you were able to wear the dress before the rain came! It's always a nice feeling to find a bargain at a charity shop. It's understandable to have mixed feelings about the style and length, but it's wonderful that your daughter, Hannah, likes it. Donating it to her sounds like a great idea, and it may indeed suit her better. Thanks for sharing your dress story!
