I had been wanting a more casual pair of trousers to wear around the house for a few weeks but did not really feel comfortable with the prospect of wearing jeans. I suppose it was my upbringing of wearing modest, feminine clothes still dominating my thoughts. Jeans just didn't seem right for me, at least for the present time. It was a big step for me to start wearing trousers in the first place but I am glad that I did as I now wear them to work at least twice a week.
I enjoy visiting charity shops and cannot resist a bargain and came across a casual pair of trousers in my size. They were a fairly loose fit and did not emphasise the shape of my bottom too much, a point that I am still not comfortable with when I wear trousers. They cost £3.50 and I could not resist them. I feel that I can wear these without a tunic or long jumper and they are really comfortable.
What do you think?
lovely :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I saw a outfit on one blog that you might like, It is "http://freshmodesty.blogspot.com/2014/02/wet-windy.html" :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie - I think that if I decide to buy some denim jeans I would wear them like that. I am still undecided though.

Hi Rebecca! I just found your blog. I have worn pants for several years now but recently have wondered about the modesty of jeans... I am hoping to find some tunics to make me more comfortable when I do wear pants!
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I felt the need to comment.. It is absolutely your decision and conviction that matters, before the Lord, but I wanted to give my humble opinion. I do not think that these pants cover as modestly as they should.. They seem to outline your bottom very much, defining your curves a lot... It is, of course, none of my business, but I thought I would share my opinion with a sister in Christ! You are not alone in looking for modest clothing, it is always a struggle, but one that we should not compromise on!
Hi Madeleine
ReplyDeleteActually this photograph was taken at home. I relax a liitle at home but I am always careful to make sure that my bottom is covered from view when wearing trousers in public.

I see that I obviously missed that part in the post, sorry!
